Rachel Epstein, MD
Dr. Rachel Epstein is one of a select few Board- Certified and Fellowship-Trained Dermatologic Surgeons in the Tampa Bay Area. She is a graduate of The University of Miami where she obtained a B.S., Summa Cum Laude in Exercise Physiology and Biology. Dr. Epstein earned her medical degree with highest honors from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Internship and Dermatology Residency at Largo Medical Center/Bay Pines VA where she served as Co-Chief Resident. Following Residency, she completed a prestigious combined Procedural Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery Fellowship at Loma Linda University in California. She also served as a Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and continues to teach Dermatology as a Volunteer Instructor.
Dr. Epstein has been nationally recognized, receiving prestigious award for her presentations, research and publications. She is an active Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery, American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology, Florida Society for Dermatologic Surgeons and American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons.
Outside of her medical career, Dr. Epstein is an avid fitness enthusiast. She is a former Junior Olympic Swimmer and Junior National Triathlete Champion. Currently, she enjoys pilates, yoga, barre and spending time with her husband and two young children.
Dr. Epstein’s areas of expertise include Mohs micrographic surgery for skin cancers, cutaneous oncology and cosmetic dermatology. She enjoys getting to know each and every patient and providing compassionate, quality care.
