EltaMD®

Latisse®

Latisse® is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis approved by the FDA to grow longer, thicker, and darker lashes. Latisse® is believed to affect the growth phase of the eyelash hair cycle in 2 ways: increase the length of the “growth” phase and increase the number of hairs in the “growth” phase.

The exact way in which Latisse® works is still unknown. The onset of results is gradual but usually a significant improvement is noted after 2 months of nightly use. Additional application is not known to increase the “growth” phase. You should not use Latisse® if you are allergic to one of its ingredients, nursing, trying to conceive or are currently pregnant.
